We are a community organization born out of the idea that we’re better together. We identify as heart-centered entrepreneurs, representing 12 business sectors, who have joined together to be catalysts for inclusivity, equity, innovation and social change.
To make a real and meaningful difference in our community.
We’re dedicated to developing a web of purpose-driven business owners, who see their work as creating, engaging and developing community — and that our roll as business owners is a vehicle which supports that vision.
We recognize that the most advanced and successful communities are ones where diversity, inclusivity, and equity are valued, supported and bolstered.
We believe that service is the heartbeat of a business, and how we show up in our business collaborations, partnerships and with our clients and customers is the fabric and foundation for rich and connected communities. We value our own personal development path, and consciously choose to be in intentional business relationships as part of our individual growth and expansion.
We believe in loving what we do, who we work with, and that our individual contributions collectively create the change we aim to make in our community.
We are guided by a circle of 12 Founding Members, who are leaders in the Portland community, representing 12 main business sectors.
By the end of 2020, we envision The Changemakers Hub membership will expand to include 3 additional members for each business sector.
Our first phase of development includes the Founding Circle members working together to establish the business and community sectors to be represented and that are part of The Changemakers Hub.
Currently, we’ve identified 12 ‘spokes of the wheel’, and over the coming months we’ll be in thoughtful and lively discussion to ensure that we’ve included the business sectors that are integral to our communities health, wellbeing and development.
Our meetings are guided but The Circle Way Process, where we recognize there is a leader in every chair — and that through presence, thoughtful listening and respectful communications, every working session is an opportunity for our own personal growth, the effectiveness and expansion of the organization, and how we can meaningfully contribute to our community.
We’re located in the heart of downtown, in the warm and inviting Industrious entrepreneurial co-working space.
Members of the Founders Circle meet most Friday afternoons.
